Established in 1998 by chef Andre Richardson, Island Berries Tasmania is a producer of premium quality desserts, fruit pastes, jams, spreads, fruit syrups and thickened fruit juices. Made simply from the finest fresh Tasmanian fruit. Our products contain no artificial colours/ flavours or preservatives. Our products have won numerous fine food awards and are unrivalled for flavour and freshness. Our commercial kitchen operates under an accredited HACCP program to ensure food safety and quality assurance to customers.
Whether for consumers, food service or the aged care industry, Island Berries Tasmania always has the customer’s needs at the forefront. Not only do the products taste great, they are also designed to be convenient, eliminate wastage and save valuable time. Products are available in individual portions, ready for serving, or in bulk packs for commercial use.
Today Island Berries employs 12 skilled production staff and 3 qualified Chefs on site to manage the cooking and production processes. Island Berries also has an in-house R&D and New Product Development (NPD) team enabling Island Berries to have continuous new product development for the future; as well as supporting food safety procedures to the highest level – HACCP Certified.
Island Berries products can be found in markets outside of retail, that may consist of food service businesses and institutions such as hospitals, aged care facilities, sporting venues, cafes, Hotels, clubs and restaurants.
With our in-house product development team we can conceive desserts, sauces, coulis pastes specific to any application, including contract manufacturing for private label applications – delivered fresh or potentially frozen in many different formats. Formats could include single serve cup portions, trays or large format containers.
